Business Director

Guadalupe Montessori School in Silver City is a private non-profit AMI Montessori school in its 30th year. We have an opening for an experienced Business Director. Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Business Director oversees management of finances, resource development, operations, grant funded programs, and facilities. The Director supervises staff, assures positive community relations, and works closely with faculty to maintain a high quality Montessori education program.

The ideal candidate will have a BA is required in a related field (MA preferred) and at least 2 years management level experience in non-profit and/or school administration, experience in elementary/early childhood education, knowledge of and commitment to Montessori philosophy, knowledge of program development, team management and staff supervision experience. Outstanding people skills a must!

This is a full-time position. The Business Director is expected to be available for limited evening work, in-state and out-of-state travel.

GMS has a beautiful school, dedicated staff, award-winning garden, and organic meal program.  We have a diverse student population and serve children 14 months to 12 years.  Located in the foothills of the Gila National Forest in southern New Mexico, we are surrounded by hiking trails, hot springs , camping, and stunning natural beauty.  We have a vibrant and active small town community, complete with art galleries, local theatre and music.  Relocation assistance considered for right candidate.
